PTFE-4 MATERIAL TUBES

COLOR – DARK GREY PTFE-4 (CARBON FILLED PTFE)

PTFE-4 is a specialized carbon-filled PTFE material (coke-filled polytetrafluoroethylene) designed for demanding industrial applications where high strength, low friction, and exceptional chemical resistance are required. The addition of carbon filler significantly enhances the material’s mechanical strength, wear resistance, and dimensional stability, making PTFE-4 an excellent choice for heavy-duty seals, bearings, and sliding elements.

With an extremely wide operating temperature range from –200 °C to +260 °C, PTFE-4 is suitable for applications in both cryogenic and high-temperature environments. Thanks to its very low friction coefficient and non-stick surface, the material reduces energy losses, prevents adhesion, and ensures long-term reliability in aggressive chemical and mechanical conditions.

KEY ADVANTAGES OF PTFE-4

High mechanical strength

Carbon filler improves durability and wear resistance, extending the service life of seals, bushings, and guide rings.

Improved creep resistance (cold flow)

Compared to virgin PTFE (PTFE-1), PTFE-4 demonstrates lower deformation under continuous load, making it ideal for heavy-duty equipment.

Wide operating temperature range

Stable performance between –200 °C and +260 °C in extreme cold and hot environments.

Low friction coefficient

Excellent sliding properties reduce energy consumption and heat generation, ensuring efficient performance.

Non-stick surface

Prevents contamination and sticking, ideal for industrial machinery and chemical processing equipment.

Chemical resistance

PTFE-4 maintains stability in contact with most acids, alkalis, fuels, and solvents, ensuring safe use in aggressive environments.
