PTFE-2 is a high-performance composite material based on PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene), reinforced with glass fiber and molybdenum disulfide (MoS₂). This combination significantly improves the mechanical properties of conventional PTFE while maintaining its outstanding chemical resistance and wide service temperature range.

The material provides a low friction coefficient, excellent wear resistance, and reduced deformation under load (cold flow). Thanks to its non-stick surface, PTFE-2 does not absorb moisture and retains stable performance in aggressive environments, making it ideal for PTFE seals, PTFE bushings, and sliding elements.

KEY ADVANTAGES OF PTFE-2

Exceptional chemical resistance

Stable in acids, alkalis, solvents, fuels, and aggressive chemicals. Limitations include molten alkali metals, elemental fluorine at high temperatures, and some compounds that may attack fillers.

Wide temperature range

Operating range from –200 °C to +260 °C, ensuring reliable performance in both cryogenic and high-temperature applications.

Enhanced mechanical properties

The addition of glass fiber and MoS₂ increases wear resistance, dimensional stability, and service life under dynamic loads.

Low friction coefficient

Among the lowest of all plastics, minimizing energy losses in moving parts and extending the lifespan of PTFE sliding bearings and guiding rings.

Non-stick surface

Excellent anti-adhesion and easy-to-clean properties make PTFE-2 suitable for demanding applications in the chemical industry and processing equipment.
